Considering a Clockwise alternative for your team

Evaluate the scheduling workflows you need to replace, and understand why mmddyy v1 is not a replacement for automatic meeting optimization.

·Updated ·mmddyy

If you are looking for an alternative to Clockwise, start with the work you expect the replacement to do. “Calendar app” is a broad label. Shared event storage, booking appointments, reserving focus time, and moving meetings automatically are separate capabilities.

mmddyy v1 is not a replacement for automatic meeting optimization. It provides personal and team calendars, events, and calendar sharing. It does not connect to Google or Outlook, move meetings automatically, or protect focus time.

List the workflows you need

Write down the behavior you rely on before comparing products:

  • Do existing calendar events need to synchronize automatically?
  • Do you need flexible meetings to move around other commitments?
  • Should the tool reserve uninterrupted work time?
  • Do people need appointment-booking links?
  • Do you mainly need a shared calendar that colleagues can edit?

Test these workflows with the product’s currently available features. Planned functionality should not count toward a requirement you need to meet today.

Check permissions as carefully as automation

Ask what a colleague or connected app can see. Read access to event details is different from access to free/busy information. A public calendar is different from an invitation that requires sign-in.

In mmddyy, roles apply per calendar. Viewers read event details; editors can also change events. Team workspace owners can manage all calendars in their workspace. There is no free/busy-only role.

Where mmddyy fits today

You can create a dedicated calendar for a project, add events, and share it with viewer or editor links. Daily and weekly repeating events and timezone-aware event times support regular plans. Optional public calendars let visitors read published titles and times.

That can be useful if your need is to organize and share plans directly. It will not reproduce an external calendar’s automation. Review the current limits before choosing it.

Provider sync, AI scheduling, and automatic focus protection appear in our planned roadmap. There are no announced release dates. Evaluate mmddyy on the product available today.

Time works better together.

Create personal and team calendars, organize events, and share calendar access with the people you choose.
